One institute, two names

AEDTH names one job: endovascular digital twins. The center also incubates ideas, tests what can be rehearsed, and transfers technology. Those jobs sit under one parent, written two ways.

How the two names are used

MEDRA is the name on the door. SMITT is the name in the decree. They are one institute.

• MEDRA — the door, the seal, the catalogue, and how people say it.
• SMITT — council minutes, letterhead, and the formal expansion: Smouha Medical Innovation, Translation and Technology.
• AEDTH — only the lab that prints, casts, and measures. Not the parent.

What the mark is doing

Navy is the institute. The oxblood line starts as a vessel lumen and ends as a pulse, so the clinical house and the measurement house are one stroke. Brass is only the ring: a limit, not a decoration. No caduceus, no cross, no device that pretends to be cleared.

What was kept, and what was not

• Name on the door

  MEDRA مِدرا

  The spoken name, the seal, and the operating style. English reading: Medical Device Research at Alexandria. Arabic reading مِدرا: a path you can measure and follow.

• Name in the decree

  SMITT سميت

  Smouha Medical Innovation, Translation and Technology. Council minutes, letterhead, and contracts use SMITT. Said with MEDRA, it is one institute: MEDRA · SMITT.

• Not adopted

  NABDA نَبْضَة

  Pulse. Easy to remember in clinic, but it sounds like a campaign. It is not part of the name.

How to use it in a decree

The council minute can say Smouha Medical Innovation, Translation and Technology, and in Arabic معهد سموحة للابتكار الطبي والترجمة ونقل التكنولوجيا, with the short form SMITT. The door, the seal, and the operating style say MEDRA. Written together they are MEDRA · SMITT. AEDTH stays on the lab that prints and casts. NABDA was considered and is not used.
